We’re always inspired by the transformation a building goes through from inception to completion of a project. Here, we’ve brought together some photos from our time working on SWLEP’s Business Cyber Centre to show you what the construction process can look like!
We were engaged by SWLEP to provide Project Management, Contract Administration, Quantity Surveying and Building Surveying services for the centre’s refurbishment and upgrade works.
We completed a full dilapidation survey that documented the state of building components and systems, and conducted procurement of initial strip-out works.
The extensive construction works included a fully revised internal partition layout, renewal of the existing mechanical and electrical installations, and an upgrade of the building facilities to current standards for compliance.
Furniture, fixtures, and fittings in accordance with SWLEP interior design was provided by Wylde Interior Architects.
As the process went on, it was great to see the building taking shape nicely. Check out the photos below for a glimpse! Construction work on the project came to an end in Spring of last year, and a handover back to the client took place.
The newly revamped Business Cyber Centre reached completion and opened in May 2022. It has been a huge success since then and was even awarded Fit-out/Refurbishment of the Year at the 2022 Insider South West Property Awards! It is our hope that the centre continues to fulfil its purpose and be enjoyed by its users for many years to come.
