September was an exciting month for the team at CMS Group. Not only did we have our Interior Designer Beth return from maternity leave, but we gained a new member of the team, Landscape Architect Gemma.
As a multi-disciplinary practice, we are always keen to highlight what range of services we can provide to potential clients. With our growing team, what better way to showcase our services than to give you a direct insight into our team…
Beth
Interior Spatial Designer BIID
Beth joined our practice 12 years ago, and has always ensured a continued design quality and client satisfaction in all projects from inception to completion. With qualifications in Interior Spatial Design as well as Fine Art, Beth develops our client’s interior briefs to the highest standard with unique and interesting ideas.
From finishes schedules to concept room visualisations, full furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) plans and layouts to joinery details and furniture fit-outs, Beth ensures our clients have a full understanding of the project ideas and works with them to deliver their desired concept.
With experience on several education refurbishment various health care projects, local large-scale care village to private residences in Chelsea, Beth’s knowledge of Interiors is vast and spans many sectors.
Beth says, “Being a creative and visual person makes me passionate about the aesthetic of the world that surrounds me. I am interested in how people interact in the spaces they inhabit and believe that this directly influences how we emotionally interact with our interiors and the people who we cohabit with.
Looking at a room like a blank canvas, I like to consider a space as a whole and gain influence and ideas from past eras, the humans who interact with the space, nature and the sustainability of a design. My style is ever evolving and adapting to new projects and the people I meet along the way, which keeps things fresh and exciting and allows me to open my mind to new possibilities.”

Gemma
Landscape Architect MA BSc (Hons)
Gemma joined our practice with 6 years of experience under her belt, having initially trained in Architectural Technology before transferring her skills to Landscape Architecture. Gemma has a keen eye for how the landscape and buildings of a project can be combined to create unique inside-to-outside boundaries.
As well as providing services from formulating the client’s requirements into a project brief through to planning and construction, Gemma also regularly prepares feasibility studies, visual assessments and computer-generated visuals for projects.
Gemma says, ‘‘I believe landscape architecture is about creating inspiring, beautiful spaces that provide bespoke and creative landscapes for all to enjoy. From the very small to the very large, my approach to each project is the same. Be inspired by the local area, design unique schemes and create wonderful spaces. By utilising the existing landscape features and creating a design that fits with the wider surroundings, I also encourage the biodiversity of a site to thrive alongside the visions of our Clients.’’
