CMS Architects were engaged by the successful Design & Build Contractor, H. Mealing & Sons Ltd, to provide Architectural services comprising production of the full construction information, detailing and construction phase support for a £1.9m contract providing a new hall, kitchens and three classrooms for the school, along with refurbishment works to create a new reception and administration block.

The project involved the demolition of several existing school buildings to allow for the construction of the new buildings whilst the school was operational over a 14-month period. Initial enabling works included temporary site access through an adjacent field consisting of a 1km temporary road and bridge, as well as the provision of modular classrooms.

The project, which was delivered on time and to budget, has received recognition from Bath and North East Somerset Council building awards.
