Gloucester Food Dock

A planned project since 2016, Gloucester Food Dock located in Victoria Basin officially opened late 2023.

Originally the Docks Offices and the Old Navigation House, the site was refurbished and extended and is now home to 14 independent food and drink businesses. CMS acted as Project Managers on the project in connection with the building’s new extensions and public realm area.

The project saw the mid-19th century four-storey dockside building restored, preserving exquisite old beams, wooden banisters, exposed brickwork and rediscovered arches and alcoves. The building also has a modern ambiance, brought to life by colourful tiling, sophisticated lighting, and wood-panelled walls among other features.

With abundant natural light, terraces, social spaces and stunning views across the docks, Gloucester Food Dock has quickly become a superb destination for foodies in the region. In the pipeline for seven years, the result was worth the wait.
