Back in 2007 CMS Architects gained a planning and listed building consent for a series of major new additions to a Grade II* Listed hotel facility, to create an enhance hotel and conference facility with improved parking, landscaping and resident experience.

Since that time some of the works have been implemented, but with changing economic climates and evolving hotel needs, various smaller proposals have been assessed as part of an ongoing viability assessment for the masterplan.

The site remains a vital part of our local landscape and infrastructure with ongoing design exercises to ensure the business remains viable in that location.
