Studley Green Primary School
Design and construction of a new SEN building, containing one large classroom and two smaller rooms purposely designed to serve as a sensory room and intervention room.
The works also included creation of a staff room, one-to-one teaching space, a working kitchen for student use, a hygiene room and toilet facilities. Externally, a new outdoor play space was created, comprising a mixture of astro turf and rubber crumb surface.
CMS acted as Project Managers of the scheme from inception to completion, with works taking place amidst a live school environment with continued academic activities. CMS Architects provided the initial layout drawings needed to secure a Certificate of Lawfulness, thereafter providing continued support to the Contractor throughout the remainder of the project.
The result is a modern, purpose-built space with SEN students in mind, specifically tailored to meet their day-to-day needs and give them the best facility possible.
