CMS Group were engaged by Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership and Bristol Mental Health to provide Architectural, Project Management and Quantity Surveying services to initially undertake feasibility studies to determine the possibilities for relocation and combination of a number of their patient services to one single building.
In total three separate mental health services were to combine within the new base to enhance collaboration, promote efficiencies, and enable vacating/disposal of the existing buildings which did not provide the appropriate environments and/or facilities.
Substantial consultation was facilitated by CMS with all stakeholders to prepare a robust Business Case for the project which was subsequently approved and the project went ‘live’. CMS Groups appointment was extended to provide a full traditional appointment to design, tender and deliver the project within a fixed budget and programme.
The project comprised full remodelling and refurbishment of the building together with insertion of a first floor mezzanine to provide additional administration space to support the consultation rooms and therapy spaces created.
CMS Group has a wealth of experience in the health sector demonstrated by our ongoing relationships with numerous Health Authorities and NHS Trusts. We find these projects extremely rewarding with clients benefiting from our innovative and sustainable approach to design, a thorough and efficient control process and assured compliance to all appropriate regulations and guidance.
