CMS Architects were approached by this private client to advise on the development potential of a number of barn/outbuildings within their residential estate. The client lived within the main property with several stone buildings, in various states of disrepair all overgrown with vegetation.
CMS Architects have a wealth of experience working on heritage properties and projects and undertook a comprehensive assessment of the site to inform and shape any recommendation for development. CMS were engaged to obtain planning consent approvals for the conversion of one of the stone outbuildings into a new residential property. CMS procured the required ecological surveys, bats, newts, and appointment of a Structural Engineer to review the outbuildings structure and also prepare recommendations for stabilisation/repairs works.
Following approval CMS Architects prepared Production Information for construction and Building Regulation approval with the works completed in 2012.
